Di solito facciamo una passeggiata con Tristan in Home Park. Nel parco c’è un recinto e dentro ci sono due grandi cavalli da tiro – Aragon e Jim. Durante l’estate gli turisti a Hampton Court possono fare un giro del giardino in una carrozza trainata dai due cavalli.
Quando passiamo il recinto Tristan (il nostro cane) si ferma sempre per guardare I due cavalli. Comunque un mese fa il cancello del recinto era aperto e Tristan è corso dentro. Ha cominciato ad abbaiare ai cavalli e correre intorno a loro. Avevamo paura perché i cavalli sono molto forti e con un solo calcio avrebbero potuto uccidere Tristan. Fortunatamente i cavalli erano molto docili e ignoravano Tristan. Era difficile catturare Tristan perché correva molto veloce e non volevamo andare troppo vicino ai cavalli in caso ci hanno dato un calcio. Due stallieri hanno visto la nostra difficoltà e sono venuti ad aiutarci. Dopo che Tristan è stato legato abbiamo ringraziato gli stallieri per il loro aiuto e abbiamo scoperto che ne uno era italiano. Lui è nato a Napoli, è vissuto per anni a Firenze ma di recente ha deciso di traslocare in Inghilterra perché suo figlio e la sua famiglia abitano ora a Kingston.
Cavalli in Home Park
Normally we go for a walk with Tristan in Home Park. In the park there is an enclosure and inside are two dray horses – Aragon and Jim. During the Summer the tourists in Hampton Court can tour the gardens in a carriage pulled by the two horses.
When we pass the enclosure Tristan always stops to look at the horses. However, a month ago the gate of the enclosure was open and Tristan ran inside. He began to bark at the horses and to run around them. We were frightened because the horses are very strong and with only one kick they could kill Tristan. Fortunately, the horses are very docile and ignored Tristan. It was difficult to catch Tristan as he runs very fast and we did not want to get too close to the horses in case they gave us a kick. Due stablehands had seen our difficulty and came to help us. After Tristan was on his lead we thanked the stablehands for their help and we discovered that one of them was Italian. He was born in Naples, had lived for many years in Florence but had recently decided to move to England as his son and family now live in Kingston.
