La settimana scorsa Thomas e Erika Orthmann, due amici tedeschi che vivono a San Giorgio di Pesaro, sono venuti a londra. Stavano da altri amici, Kevin e Ina, a nord di londra ma ci siamo incontrati durante il loro soggiorno qui. Domenica sera abbiamo cenato al Bibendum, un ristorante francese nel centro di Londra. Il ristorante è nel “Michelin Edificio” che è stato costruito nel 1909 per la casa Michelin che è famosa in tutto il mondo per i pneumatici. Il nome del ristorante è Bibendum che è il nome originale dell’omino Michelin. Oggi il ristorante è pieno di ricordi dell’omino Michelin, in particolare le vetrate colorate.

Last week Thomas and Erika Orthmann came to London. They stayed with friends, Kevin and Iya, in north London but we met each other during their stay. On Sunday evening we ate at Bibendum, a French restaurant in the centre of London. The restaurant is in the “Michelin Building” which was built in 1909 for the Michelin Company which is famous all over the world for tyres. The name of the restaurant is Bibendum which is the original name of the “Michelin Man”. Today the restaurant is full of reminders of the Michelin Man, particularly the stained glass windows.
